Meet our Chiropractors
Dr. Sandra Bui
BSc (Chiro)
I used to think seeking help was reserved for emergencies. Or that we were powerless against our genetic destiny. This was ingrained in my belief system, and basically dictated the way I ran my life – too busy working 60-hour weeks, and completely disinvested in working on what brought about true health, until crisis hit.
When I exited my corporate job after 13 years, my physical and mental state was wrecked, and I was use to seeing the inside of specialists’ waiting rooms. I had pain and swelling in my joints, had trouble walking as a result, and my skin was suffering, amongst other things.
Over the years, I tried medication and other treatment and would see short term results, but nothing stuck until I started making different daily decisions around how I looked after my body. The process itself shattered my belief system and replaced it with a different philosophy – the human body was designed to heal itself under the right conditions, and we don’t need to wait for a crisis to happen before we seek help.
But it’s not just about what we do when problems arise; it’s about proactively nurturing our bodies to thrive so we can hold onto our health. So apart from my daily self-care routine that enables me to maintain my own vitality and manage stress, I use chiropractic as a regular tool to help me lower the noise in my nervous system. It’s like flipping the lights back on in the house, instead of stumbling through life in the dark and hoping you don’t hit a wall. As the founder of chiropractic B.J. Palmer once said,
“Nature needs no help, just no interference.”
It really lights me up (pun intended) when people realise they have a lot more control over their health than they think. If you’re ready to take the plunge, click this link to find out about how we care for our community.
